Supplementary Reading for Schools
Cambridge Reading
The Cambridge Reading programme has been designed to teach children to read and enjoy books.
It is a programme that helps children acquire reading skills through careful structuring of the materials and active participation. Different genres are included in the programme to facilitate development of language and literacy across the curriculum and to aid learners to transfer reading skills into different contexts. Whatever the children's interests, there is something for everyone in Cambridge Reading. There are books on Fantasy, Traditional Tales, Poetry, Fiction, Information, Contemporary Stories, Stories of Childhood and Plays written by some of the most popular children's authors.
The design of the children's book is child-friendly: the colours used, the illustrations and the stories are appealing and invite the children to explore the texts.
The present reading Levels have been customized to suit the needs of children in the South Asian region, where English is taught as a second or foreign language.
Cambridge Reading is suitable for children between the ages of 4-7 years.
The meticulously put together teacher's book has suggestions about how to make the learning of reading non-intimidating, interactive and enjoyable.
