Cambridge University Press India Pvt Ltd. (CUPIPL) is the Indian subsidiary of Cambridge University Press, U.K. and department of University of Cambridge.  CUPIPL publishes original academic and educational books in the English language focused on India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives. Many of the books published by CUPIPL under the imprint ‘Foundation Books’ are used in Universities and schools across the Subcontinent.

Cambridge University Press India Pvt. Ltd has recently attained the status of an authorized centre (IN 092) that conducts and administers the Cambridge ESOL exams in India. Cambridge ESOL examinations is part of the University of Cambridge and is the world’s leading organisation for testing and certifying English for learners of any age, level and background. Cambridge ESOL certificates are recognised by universities, employers, governments, immigration authorities and professional bodies around the world. Over two million candidates in 140 countries take a Cambridge ESOL English test every year.

These English qualifications provide students and professionals with the real life language skills which enhance their capabilities to successfully operate in the global market. These certificates are valid for life and truly international, recognised by more than 8,500 employers, universities and government bodies around the world for business and study purposes.

Largely seen as 'Partners in Education', CUPIPL aims at enhancing the English communication and language skills of students and professionals through Cambridge ESOL qualifications. These qualifications aim at assessing the competency level in English language covering all the four language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking. CUPIPL is now closely working with schools, colleges, universities and corporate sectors to promote and foster the importance of practical English at study and work places. These exams include a range of tasks which assesses candidates’ ability to use English, so that while preparing for the examinations, candidates develop the skills of using practical language in a variety of context.

We offer excellent teacher training ongoing support and resources to help the candidates achieve high grades in these exams in addition to contributing to their English skills development. We work very closely with Cambridge ESOL teacher support and Cambridge University Press that produces support materials for these exams, and Cambridge English Teacher, a website supporting the professional development of English teachers.

We have the following categories of partnership:

1. On registering a minimum number of candidates for the first year the educational institution stands to become "Cambridge University Press Associate Centre for Exam Preparation". The institution also gets an opportunity to use the logo for their branding purposes.

2. We also sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the institution which allows them to gain
certain amount of discounts not only on exams but also on books for exams.

3. Teachers going through the teacher training program for ESOL Exam preparation receive
certificate of participation from us.
